Here are a few headlines last week from CNBC and Realtor.com:
"Epic Housing Shortage May Finally Be Starting To Lift As Surprising Number Of New Listings Hit The Market In June"
"Homebuyers Are Finally Catching A Break As New Listings Rise and Mortgage Rates Drop"
"New Listings Growth Seen Across U.S. Markets in June"
But, I'm a skeptic when it comes to headlines. So, I've been rummaging through local data and... we're seeing it here, too. (I'll have more data to share as it comes out later this month).
This is good news for homebuyers who couldn't buy, who've been waiting or trying to purchase a home in the first half of 2021. But lack of inventory and rising prices stopped them cold. I know some of you who've put patience on your priority list. Well, your second chance to get back in the game may be coming soon.
